Mother Centers in Hungary

Az anyaközpontok olyan közösségi házak, helyek, melyek nők, anyák és gyerekeik számára kínálnak programokat, lehetőséget, teret játékra, tanulásra, pihenésre, közös és egyéni tevékenységekre.

Ezek a közösségi terek egymástól nagyon különbözőek lehetnek a helyi adottságoktól függően, de az mindannyiukban közös, hogy védett, barátságos környezetet kínálnak a betérők számára és szervezésük alulról felfelé történik, a helyi nők, anyák részvételével. Ennek fényében anyaközpontnak tekintjük azokat a tereket amik állandó, vagy időszakos nyitva tartással, de helyi nők és anyák által koordinált, felügyelt és működtetett terek, és nem tekintjük anyaközpontoknak pl. azokat a művelődési központokat, melyek felülről lefelé szerveződnek, nem női, anyai közösségek szervezik és működtetik.

Magyarországon az egyes településeken számtalan kismama klub, női közösség működik és igyekszik segíteni a helyi nők, anyák mindennapjait. A honlap célja, hogy hozzájáruljon ahhoz, hogy egyre több ilyen helyi női közösség kapcsolódjon egymáshoz, tekintse magát anyaközpontnak és a más országokban már jól működő Anyaközpont Hálózatba szerveződjön a nők, anyák és ezen keresztül a családok mindennapjainak hatékony segítése érdekében.

Meet the world in Mother Centers on the 10-10-11!


The Mother Centers International Network for Empowerment (mine) was born in Germany 11 years ago. On the 10th of October, 2011 hundreds of parents and Mother Centers (MC) supporters are celebrating the 2nd International Mother Centers Day in 12 countries (Argentina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Slovakia and the USA).

This year the celebration will be focused on Bulgaria. The three MC’s in Bulgaria are organized by Roma and Bulgarian women side-by-side as they serve mothers and children in their communities. They serve as a great example of inspiration to other countries of how to handle difficult situations as a minority group in society. One viewer, Sabina Pistone from Mother Centre in Stuttgart shares her impressions from the video: “We here in Western Europe tend to forget how hard realities are just round the corner in between this small Europe and it is very enlightening for us to see it. At the same time the video, with its traditional clothing and simple presentation is a short reminder of the essential (Love your neighbour. So God taught us) shows a simple, old and strong energy. At last instance, this is probably the only resource we as human beings have, to get done what has to be done on the Earth”.

Starting on October 10th, there will be a variety of events in each participated country (e.g. open day events, international brunches, tasting of Bulgarian specialities, etc.); not big, but done with a lot of heart as work is accomplished in Mother Centers around the world.
